Founded in the early 1980s in Eugene, Oregon, Broderbund is the creator a variety of best-selling software products, including The Print Shop, Mavis Beacon and Carmen Sandiego. Prior to securing it's position of leading brand in the print at home software space, Broderbund created hit titles like Galactic Empires, Lode Runner, Prince of Persia and Myst, which was the highest grossing home computer game for years. Over the past 30 years, Broderbund has published software for virtually all major computer systems in the United States, including Apple II, Commodore 64, Atari and today's PC and Mac computers.
Today Broderbund is best known as the #1 publisher within the consumer desktop publishing space, putting easy and affordable design tools into the hands of everyday consumers.
