Sarah Riley Headrick (Co-Author and Co-Founder)
Sarah Headrick graduated with a degree in psychology from the University of Notre Dame where she also ran cross-country and track. Her psychology degree has come in handy while explaining to her daughter that she does not actually know everything. Her running skills have proven useful in chasing her son down to convince him he really must wear pants. Sarah recently moved from the Chicago suburbs to Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband and their two aforementioned young children. She is excited to be a part of Custom Made For Kids and running a business that will allow her to spend plenty of time with her family.

Sarah and Sarah's Story
Our story and our friendship began several years ago at a weekly suburban playgroup. Our first-borns were six months old and ready for some socialization. Of course, after interacting primarily with newborns for six months, it was really the adults who needed to socialize. So, while our children drooled on each other's toys, we lamented our lack of time, energy and sleep and celebrated our victories over leaky diapers, stubborn stains and cranky babies.
First birthdays and second babies came along and we found ourselves buying new baby, christening and birthday gifts almost constantly. We quickly became experts in giving and receiving gifts for babies and young children. We found the gifts that we most enjoyed giving and receiving were somehow personalized and had special meaning for the recipient's family.
Custom Made For Kids was born out of a desire to give people the opportunity to buy thoughtful, personalized and meaningful gifts for the special children in their lives. Our first personalized children's book, The First Adventures of Incredible You, is about the most memorable experiences of early childhood. By answering a few questions, you can personalize these experiences so that the custom storybook includes the specific people, places and things that are unique to each child and his or her family.
We hope The First Adventures of Incredible You will be a gift that you will love to give and to receive. We know that it will become a treasured family keepsake and a personalized chilren's book that will be read again and again.
