Division Description

Ipswitch File Transfer (FT) is responsible for developing, selling and supporting the company’s well-known lines of secure and managed file transfer software. These products provide a comprehensive set of solutions used around the world by tens of thousands of small, medium and large companies, government agencies and educational institutions – as well as by millions of individuals.

In 2008 the FT division's sales increased 65% year-over-year, enabling it to achieve its 79th consecutive quarter of profitability. That same year the division was named a Gartner Magic Quadrant "Visionary" for its MOVEit managed file transfer solutions. FT has approximately 75 employees at its US offices in Lexington, Massachusetts, Madison, Wisconsin and Augusta, Georgia, as well as in the United Kingdom and Europe. The division’s products are sold worldwide via e-commerce, a direct sales staff, and through distributors, resellers and OEMs.

Ipswitch, Inc., a privately-held company founded in 1991, achieved its 18th consecutive year of growth and profit in 2008. The company has approximately 180 employees organized into a central support staff and three separate operating divisions.

◦File Transfer is responsible for the WS_FTP®, MOVEit and MessageWay products and solutions, which enable people and organizations to securely transmit data over their networks and the Internet.
